What is ISC 2024?

Indonesian Scratch Competition, an annual event for beginners and aspiring young game developers to express their talents!
This competition offers a unique opportunity for participants to expand their programming skills and creativity through the Scratch platform and others. With this competition, it is hoped that participants will be able to build interesting games without having to have in-depth knowledge of complex programming languages.

Participants need a computer/laptop (MAC, Windows, etc. that can be used to create programs and play minecraft), mic, and an internet network. to good documentation for collected

1. Theme Presentation
Clarity of the theme in the project: The chosen theme must be clearly and consistently conveyed throughout the project. Ensure that the theme is easily understood and evident in every aspect of the project.

Introduction of the adapted origin place: The project should include a comprehensive introduction to the origin place being adapted. This includes its history, geography, and unique characteristics that form the basis of the project.

2. Environmental Solutions
Efforts to address environmental issues in the origin place: The project should incorporate creative and effective solutions to the environmental issues present in the origin place. These solutions should be based on thorough research and a deep understanding of the issues.

3. Similarity to the Origin Place
How similar the project is to the origin place: Evaluation is based on how accurately and realistically the Minecraft project depicts the origin place. This includes architectural details, geographical layout, and cultural elements that reflect the origin place.

4. Traditional Culture
Use and understanding of traditional culture in the project: The project should demonstrate authentic use and a well-understood representation of traditional culture. This can include building designs, clothing, language, and rituals that reflect the original culture.

5. Aesthetics of the Final Video/Product

Visual quality and presentation of the final video/product: The final video or product should have high visual quality. This includes good editing, appropriate use of visual effects, and an engaging and informative presentation.

6. Aesthetics of the Minecraft Product
Visual quality and design of the project in Minecraft: The Minecraft project should show creativity and attention to detail. The design should be aesthetically pleasing and align with the chosen theme and culture.


7. Knowledge of Environmental Issues
Understanding of the environmental issues addressed in the project: The project should demonstrate a deep understanding of the environmental issues discussed. This includes the causes, impacts, proposed solutions, and their relevance to the origin place

All participants in the Indonesian Scratch Competition will receive an e-certificate .

Yes, participants can choose a category that suits their age or higher. Participants are not allowed to enter the race at a lower level.

Example: Participants with the age of 10 years can take part in the SMP category of the age group of 12-15 years or the SD of the age group of 7-10 years. However, you are not allowed to participate in the category in the under age.

Participants can make presentations with Indonesian or English

Yes. The competition will be held entirely online.
